I have followed the course of Rosetta Japanese vers 3, and I find it excellent. I was enthusiastic to learn another language; I chose Swahili... what a disapointment !. The quality, presentation and methodology are far below the one used for the Japanese course. I wish the Swahili was at least half of the level of Japanese.
While I fully recommend Japanese, I am afraid that I cannot do the same with Swahili. Too expensive for what you get.

Disappointing

This product did not live up to its promise. The course is not suited especially to teach Swahili, and instead follows the same formula as all the other courses that were designed to teach Romance languages. There was no special effort to teach the different noun classes and instead words are thrown at you. Might be good in Spanish or French, but not in Swahili.

I Love Rosetta Stone

I have tried many different language programs and I can say Rosetta Stone is the best by far. I bought the program to help improve my language skills before I took the State Department's foreign service exam. It has helped to improve my proficiency in kiswahili dramatically and made me more competitive for a position as a foreign service officer. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to learn a language quickly and naturally.
