I started learning Portuguese using the Rosetta Stone software, so that I can communicate with my boyfriend's parents. I met my boyfriend in February, and he is from Brazil. The only way I can speak to his family is by learning the language. Rosetta stone is effective and actually addicting. I have only been doing it for a month, and my boyfriend is very impressed. He says Rosetta Stone seems to "program" your mind.

Quick and Easy

Portugues levels 1 and 2 were so easy to use. Within a week, I was speaking basic phrases. I had 2 months before my trip to Brazil and was very comfortable having basic conversations while I was there.
The only issue I had with it is that I had many grammar questions which were not so easy to get answered by the program. However, the purpose is to get you up and speaking quickly. And that it did very well.
I highly recommend any Rosetta Stone program for those needing to learn a language quickly. I will certainly buy from them again for my language learning needs.

A New Me

When I first tried to learn Portuguese, I was feeling hopeless. I had taken some Spanish in high school, and I was trying to add Portuguese to what I knew using a few audio tapes and a workbook. It was SO HARD. Then one day I was expressing my concerns to a friend whol told me about Rosetta Stone. After I decided to give it a try, I bought the Portuguese edition on line. I was so pleased when I first began using it. It is user friendly and fun, not to mention a great way to learn. I have since practiced dilligently each week and now my Portuguese is flowing nicely. Thanks to Rosetta Stone, I have overcome the obstacles envolved in learning a second language and I am proud of my accomplishments. Thank you, Rosetta Stone!!

It's never too late to learn

Rossette Stone makes learning easy, even for the older student. I am able to learn on my own schedule and at my own pace. You are never too old to learn a new language...I did.

Old Dog Learns anew

I saw an article about Rosetta Stone and thought I'd give it a try. I called for the free sample lesson. The sales person tried to get me to buy the complete set however being ever so scepticle I only wanted to try the free sample lesson. When I turned on that sample lesson to my amazement I immediately began to understand the concept and format of learning this new language. I bought levels 1 & 2. My portugese friends are amazed at how quickly I am learning to communicate with them. My 8yr. old is taking spanish in school the old traditional way and struggling, I tried a few of my lessons on her and she has done much better with it that her spanish from school. I reccomened Rosetta Stone to anyone wanting to learn a new language. This old dog is learning anew!
